- Youth Summer Workshop (June 22–26): Designed for rising 3rd-6th graders, this workshop focuses on understanding dyslexia, capitalizing on personal strengths, and building self-advocacy skills.
- Summer Learning Adventure (June 1–26): An engaging, small-group learning journey led by a certified dyslexia therapist for rising 2nd-5th graders. https://zurl.co/5q2dz
- Summer Reading Challenge: We are a proud sponsor of the 2026 “Plant a Seed, Read!” challenge. Stop by the Wheaton Public Library starting May 29 to sign up and grab a free T-shirt!

- Write Idea Training (June-July-August): The Write Idea (Take Flight and Bridges) format provides the opportunity to offer complementary dysgraphia instruction for students who are concurrently receiving dyslexia intervention.
- Build Training (August 14): Build is an intervention designed to meet the needs of K-1 students who have been identified as at risk for dyslexia.

Tara J. Chapman and Craig C. Chapman are the co-founders of The Written Word Center for Dyslexia and Learning. The Written Word is an IMSLEC-Accredited Center that provides evidence-based training in structured literacy for teachers and interventions for students with dyslexia.
